Sometimes I feel like this is the only way to keep my plants alive… draw them.

Sometimes I feel like this is the only way to keep my plants alive… draw them.

Once it gets warm, these fruit carts are on the corner of almost every NYC subway stop. We even have one on our ’G’ in Brooklyn, and I must say they are quite convenient.

Jon has an awesome fro which most people will never see. I tell him to wear it proudly but lately he’s been threatening to shave it all off. He would not let me take a picture of his wonderful curls so I had to draw it. I am thinking he needs something like a malo, worn by Johnny Weir on the Wendy Williams show, to get excited about this feature:

Weir calls this a ‘malo’ (pronounced male-o) or a man’s halo and he got it from the LA Boutique, Ban.do. I’m tempted to get Jon one but we know he won’t go near it and I’ll just end up wearing it. Hmmmmmmmm….

I had a little downtime on Saturday morning, so I started this sketch and finished it last night.

This is what the sidewalks look like on my way to the G; cracked and well worn.
There are not too many vegetables that Jon and I both enjoy. I like brussel sprouts, rapini, and root vegetables, he doesn’t. He likes broccoli, I don’t prefer them. But the one thing we can both agree on is asparagus. It’s yummy and super good for you! (applause, applause)
