I did these drawings for work…. and that is all I can say. Anyway, these drawings reminded me of Tim Burton. Ha! I guess that is a huge compliment to myself. ‘Reminded’ doesn’t mean they are ‘like’ his drawings in any way. I sooo want to see his exhibit at the MOMA before it ends April 26th but the timed tickets are sold out! Looks like I’ll be heading out there bright and early between now and then for the limited releases.
All past wrongs are erased when our cat, Capo, sleeps. I forget about him wanting to chew through power chords, or him pulling down the house plants, or me stepping in his throw up first thing in the morning. When Capo sleeps, he is the perfect cat.
I used to have very long hair before the beginning of this year and I do miss it. Lately, I have had ‘soccer mom’ syndrome where the neck-length hair seems too short for the bangs. The one thing I regret was not doing more with long hair when I had it, like putting it up in interesting arrangements. Which reminds me – I need a haircut!

There’s been a lot of branches on the ground after the two-day rainstorm in NY. I went out and brought one home.
I steal Jon’s socks all the time to wear under my boots. My favorite are his argyle ones but if I had socks, maybe stockings, in a print like this, I would leave his alone.
It felt like spring today. Warm, sunny. The whole apartment was blazing in new streams of light. I even made excuses to run errands around town to feel the sun on my face. New York will soon explode in color and scents. Every year spring is new.
My poor bronchioles have been rebelling against the air I breathe at work. Unfortunately, my boss occasionally smokes and apparently I am allergic. Here’s to my lungs and the “NO SMOKING” sign in front of the office.
This week, I decided to take out the old black pen and do some illustrations. They are so relaxing to do, and it feels great to get away from the computer.
